Opened in 1855, Mechanics Hall is a premier event venue and concert hall in downtown Worcester, MA, combining 19th-century elegance with modern amenities. Comedians, theater artists, acoustic musicians and classical performers are all at home on the Mechanics Hall stages. The gorgeous Great Hall on the third floor seats 1,300 and is considered an acoustic masterpiece. The 300-capacity Washburn Hall on the second level has a small stage and a full-service bar. Additional spaces at Mechanics Hall include the Boyden Salon, the Board Room, and the Dickens Room.
The Brown Bag Concert Series, presented by Mechanics Hall and 90.5 FM WICN, has been running since 1983. Acclaimed regional and national acts perform in the Great Hall on select Wednesdays from noon to 1pm.
