Cheatham Street Warehouse, opened in 1974, is a honky tonk by the tracks in San Marcos, TX, featuring live country, soul, folk and blues bands, plus a recording studio. Cheatham Street Warehouse is known for its Wednesday night weekly Songwriters Circles. The venue is maintained by the nonprofit Cheatham Street Music Foundation which promotes the history of Texas music through songwriter workshops, lectures, classes, and other programs.
