Description
Established in 2006, The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County is one of the world’s leading performing arts organizations and home to Florida Grand Opera, Miami City Ballet, and New World Symphony. The Arsht Center houses five unique, multi-purpose venues across its two block campus in downtown Miami, FL.
The John S. and James L. Knight Concert Hall seats 2,200 and has state-of-the-art sound and lighting equipment, making it perfectly suited for classical music concerts including symphony orchestras, recitals, and chamber music. It is also a showcase for a wide array of other performance types such as pop, jazz and world music, spoken word and dance.
The Sanford and Dolores Ziff Ballet Opera House seats 2,400 and features wraparound balconies and boxes on three sides of the room. The theater presents the dance, opera, musicals and nontraditional theatrical productions.
Located inside the Ziff Ballet Opera House, The Carnival Studio Theater is an intimate, 200 capacity black box space available for a wide variety of smaller presentations including theater, dance, cabaret, comedy and more.
The Peacock Foundation Studio is a 300-capacity rehearsal hall that can be customized to accommodate many types of events including play readings, art exhibitions, small dance recitals, meetings and small awards ceremonies.
The Thomson Plaza for The Arts separates the two main buildings of the Arsht Center and is equipped with basic lighting and sound equipment accommodating up to 700 for outdoor receptions, concerts and parties.
