The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, a major not-for-profit center for music, opera, theater and dance opened in Kansas City, MO, in 2011. The Kauffman Center delivers extraordinary and diverse performing arts experiences. The technically and architecturally advanced performing arts center features a glass atrium lobby and two performance halls: the 1,800-seat Muriel Kauffman Theatre and the 1,600-seat Helzberg Hall. The venues have generous backstage facilities, including dressing rooms, rehearsal and warm-up rooms, and loading dock space for multiple trucks.
