Description
The Whallonsburg Grange chapter was founded in 1903 in Essex, NY. The historic venue features a beautiful main hall that seats up to 130, with 100 on the main floor and 30 in the balcony. There is a large stage with professional lighting, an in-house audio system, an HD projector and a large movie screen. There is also a certified commercial kitchen available for catering, commercial food production, and farm and community projects.
The nonprofit, volunteer-run Whallonsburg Grange Hall hosts concerts by regionally and nationally known performers, the Champlain Valley Film Series, and Lyceum lectures as well as classes and workshops throughout the year.
The Grange also owns Whitcomb’s, the renovated garage and green space across the street. It is home to art studios as well as a Community Room where monthly storytelling open mics take place, along with art exhibitions, open jams, classes and other gatherings.
