Aronoff Center for the Arts
Description
Located in downtown Cincinnati’s Backstage District, the Aronoff Center for the Arts is a large performing arts center presenting plays, dance, popular music concerts, stand-up comedy and musicals. Opened in 1995, the facility offers numerous event spaces including three theaters and an art gallery.
The 2,700-capacity Procter & Gamble Hall is a performance space with excellent sightlines, comfortable seating, a fully-equipped stage, state-of-the-art sound and lighting, and a fiber optic ceiling that creates a starlight effect. The intimate 437-capacity Jarson-Kaplan Theater has with full production capabilities, great acoustics, and excellent sightlines. The 150-capacity Fifth Third Bank Theater is a street-level studio space with full lighting and sound that can be configured for a wide variety of functions.
The Aronoff is home to several resident companies including Broadway in Cincinnati, Cincinnati Ballet, Cincinnati Music Theatre, Cincinnati Playwrights Initiative, Contemporary Dance Theater, Exhale Dance Tribe, Mutual Dance Theatre, and Revolution Dance Theatre.
The Cincinnati Arts Association (CAA) manages and operates the Aronoff Center and Music Hall.
