Description
Orpheum Theatre Memphis is a nonprofit, historical theater that works to provide quality entertainment and education programming to the Midsouth with performances by world-class musicians, comedians, and other entertainers. The Orpheum started as a vaudeville palace in the 1890’s, but the theater and stage are fully equipped with a Meyer Sound system and projection screens, as well as dressing rooms, a rehearsal space, and loading docks backstage.
The Orpheum Theatre’s Grand Lobby exudes glamour with its crystal chandeliers, antique mirrors, and ornate cathedral ceiling. Concessions are located in the parlor and on the mezzanine, and two full bars are located in the lobby.
