The Maryland Theatre is a music and entertainment venue located in the Arts & Entertainment District of downtown Hagerstown, MD. It was built in 1915 and expanded into a full performing arts center complex in 2019 adding the 400-capacity Manger Ballroom, The View rehearsal studio, a cocktail lounge, a lobby and dressing rooms. The theater’s historic auditorium is comprised of two levels seating up to 1,300 guests for concerts, dance, film, comedy, theater and community events. Concessions are located on the main level in the Grand Lobby and on the second level in the Cocktail Lounge.The nonprofit venue is home to a variety of regional arts organizations such as the Maryland Symphony Orchestra, Barbara Ingram School for the Arts, City Ballet School, Hagerstown Community Concert Association, Authentic Community Theatre, and the Miss Maryland Scholarship Pageant. ...
