Located within Mitchell Park in Brookfield, WI, the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts is one of the finest multi-disciplinary cultural arts centers in the United States. Established in 2002, the beautiful arts facility has six indoor spaces and two outdoor spaces suitable for a variety of events including live performances, festivals, arts education classes, meetings, fundraisers, and private events.
The Harris Theater features a 650-seat auditorium, state-of-the-art sound and design, and a calendar full of premier artists across an expertly curated range of genres. The main stage at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center provides intimate seating, from boxes to balcony, suitable for dance and music performances, plays, lectures, formal meetings, seminars and more. The Harris Theater is home to the Matinee Series; an afternoon concert experiences celebrating stars of the stage, Grammy Award winners, Hollywood icons, and more.
The 150-capacity Dawes Studio Theater is home to the Studio Series welcoming emerging artists to the Wilson Center in special performances of jazz, indie, pop and folk. The intimate theater offers a variety of seating arrangements from traditional stage performance to black box theater. Dawes Studio is acoustically engineered and features hardwood floors and a raised stage.
Just outside the Dawes Studio Theater is the Wilson Center’s Gerlach/Haack Outdoor Theater: home to popular Starry Nights concert series. Starry Nights is a free, family-friendly concert series that takes place on Fridays in the summer. Food trucks and a full bar are available at the outdoor venue as well as both lawn seating and a limited number of picnic tables available to rent.
